Musashi's Japanese Steakhouse

4315 N. Western Ave.
Oklahoma City, OK
(405) 602-5623

A teppan grill place is my least favorite kind of Japanese restaurant (I think it is actually an American invention), so I was a tough customer when I walked in. I do not like the "show" that the cook puts on with the twirling knives, flames shooting forth from the grill, etc. (and I did not care for it here, either, especially since I was on a tight time schedule).

However, given the flawed premise of the restaurant, they did an excellent job of making the experience a good one, mainly through excellent food and service. The Salmon Teriyaki was cooked to perfection-- this is the only one that has served real teriyaki sauce instead of the ginger sauce they usually give you to dip it in.

There were no flaws here except the price and the fact that the fried rice was not very good (and you have to pay extra for it as well!). Still, it is a good restaurant for special occasions.
